Natasha and John wanted to update their old run-down kitchen and decided a kaboodle kitchen was the way to do it. After settling on their design and installing their masterpiece, they couldn’t be happier!
“Our existing kitchen was a mid-90’s design with heavy wooden panelling, so I wanted to brighten up the space. We also wanted a more functional kitchen, which is why we introduced the island, plus more storage for our growing family” said Natasha.
“I wanted a light colour scheme and something timeless so it wouldn’t date easily. I was also keen on a luxurious overall look and feel without stretching our budget too far. I’m really happy with what we’ve achieved. We definitely saved a lot by installing the kitchen ourselves” said Natasha.
When designing their kitchen maximising their space was essential.
“Our kitchen isn’t tiny but it certainly isn’t huge either, so we wanted to maximise our storage. I was able to stack cabinetry above our pantry and fridge to use the full floor to ceiling space available, plus I included extra cabinetry under our island bench.” - John
Now that the hard work is over their kaboodle kitchen has become a central meeting place where family and friends can gather.
“The island has created a perfect gathering spot for morning chats with the family over breakfast and provides a spot for guests to park themselves when we’re entertaining. We also love the marble-look benchtop, it has a soft-touch finish so it feels beautiful and silky. It even looks like stone” said Natasha
