Moisture resistance

By Kaboodle

So you want to know about moisture resistant cabinets? Then look no further.

Help prevent any damage to your cabinets by cleaning up spilled liquid as soon as you can.

Firstly, the answer is yes, our kitchen cabinets are made from moisture resistant board.

In saying that, we recommend gluing and screwing all of our cabinets not only for better structural integrity but the glue helps as an extra barrier for moisture resistance.

You may have some issues if your kitchen is exposed to excessive moisture. Excessive moisture refers to water leaks/spills or having a dryer in the same room as your kitchen without proper ventilation. Our cabinets are moisture resistant, not waterproof, so it is important to clean up any liquid spills as quickly as possible.

There’s no doubt that certain areas of Australia and New Zealand are home to some of the harshest conditions in the world, so it’s definitely beneficial to apply a coat of glue to any exposed top and bottom edges.

Taking that extra step may help prevent any issues occurring down the track.
